At Kahl Communications, we specialize in aerial cable placement. Which includes fiber optics, coaxial, and copper placement. Due to the increased need for high-speed internet, we make it our priority to make this process as efficient as possible. We utilize cable-placing utility trucks along with other hydraulic lifts and pullers. Also, our team with over 20 years of experience in the field will leave you feeling comfortable with your choice of using us as a contractor.
With the expanding field of fiber optics, we also specialize in fiber optic fusion splicing. We use top-of-the-line fusion machines as well as precision tools to make our job neat and efficient. We have all the tools and test equipment necessary to troubleshoot damaged fibers. These tools include optical time-domain reflectometers (OTDR), visual fault locators, traffic identifiers, and much more. We are also equipped with mobile fusion labs. In the case the lab can’t be used, we also have insulated collapsible tents to ensure a clean splicing environment.
We also have a team that is extremely knowledgeable about the hybrid fiber/coaxial (HFC) cable system. Which is more commonly known as “cable,” or the “cable plant” that most large cable companies use. In that field, we also have all the specialized tools to perform our job in a professional manner. These tools include coring tools for every different-sized coaxial cable. Radio Frequency (rf) meters that we use to properly set up amplifiers in the field to their designed specifications. We also have the “know-how” to properly build and maintain these systems from the construction standpoint.
